Haul! (Nordstrom Rack, Target, Tilly’s, etc)

Hi guys! Yesterday and today I did a little bit of shopping so I thought I would upload a haul! I have different items from various stores – Target, Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, and Tilly’s. Let’s get started!:)

First I went inside Nordstrom Rack. I got this cream colored cardigan for $12 and it’s perfect for fall! I’ve always needed a cardigan and I feel like it can go with just about anything – a dress, jeans and top, etc. Nordstrom Rack also carries NYX and other high end makeup brands! They sell Stila, Smashbox, and Urban Decay goodies for half off. I was dying to grab them all!

Next I went inside Marhsallas and picked up a coconut shower cream by The Body Shop. This item was on clearance for only $5.50! This smells SOOO good and I can’t wait to use it! Image

Yesterday I went to Target and Walmart and bought some fun goodies! I first picked up some Conair bobby pins because I was running out and I loose bobby pins…very quickly. LOL. Next I picked up the brand new issue of InStyle – which contains 716 pages! If I may add, the first 60 pages were just ads… so in my opinion, creating a huge issue just meant throwing a ton more ads in the magazine for a little cash. At Walmart, I bought a red lipstick by Wet ‘N Wild. I am so impressed! It was only $2 and it is so pigmented and beautiful. I’m not what the name of this lipstick is because the writing on the sticker was smeared, but I’m sure you can find it at CVS or Walmart. Oh, and I wish Target would carry Wet ‘N Wild! I have a swatch below if you want to check it out!Image

The last thing I got at Walmart was an Alba Hawaiian Conditioner. The shampoo and conditioner are so great and are my favorite hair care products from them. Walmart sells Alba for a really great price, so if you ever get a chance, I definitely recommend it! Image

Lastly, I stopped by Tilly’s and got this super cute flowy shirt! I’m not sure what the pattern is, but it looks great and it has a small criss-crossed back.Image

The picture is a bit blurry, but I’m sure you get the point!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this haul! Leave me requests for reviews or nail art tutorials or anything you wish! 🙂

Kim Kardashian Inspired Makeup Look

For this week’s celebrity inspired makeup look, I have chosen to replicate a Kim Kardashian look from one of her perfume ads – True Reflection. It is a beautiful brown smokey-eye look that I absolutely love!

How to achieve this look:

1. Apply a white base on your eyes to make sure your eyeshadow stays vibrant.

2. Apply a light shimmery color on your lids very lightly.

3. Take a warm brown color and apply that in your crease and blend the color a little bit up to your brow bone. With that same color, use it to line your lash line.

4. Now take a darker shadow and apply that just in your crease. Like before, take that color and line the lash line.

5. Take a slightly darker shadow than the eyeshadow you just used and lightly darken up the crease. Do this to your lash line as well.

6. Once you are happy with your crease look, take a white-ish highlighting shadow and highlight your brow bone and inner corners.

7. Take a pigmented brown eyeliner and line your waterline and be sure to tight line.

8. Now, use a black liquid liner and create a thick line with a small wing at the end.

9. Take a black eyeshadow (matte or shimmer) and place that over the liquid liner to ensure that it won’t smudge. With that same shadow, line your lash line as close as you can.

10. Put on loads of mascara and apply false lashes if you wish.

11. You want to create a flawless face, so apply a heavy concealer and a dewy foundation. If you don’t wear foundation, use concealer for problem areas and use a BB Cream instead.

12. Take a powder and apply that to all of your face to set your face products.

13. Use a shimmery bronzer to contour.

14. Next, highlight your cheekbones!

15. Use a light pink lip liner and fill in your lips.

16. Take a baby pink lipstick and apply it onto your lips.

17. Find a light pink lip gloss and you are finished!

Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigment Review

Hey guys! Today I have a really exciting post because I finally got my hands on one of the new Maybelline products – the Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments! I only got one shade, but I’m planning to get more so stay tuned! I bought mine for $5.99. Let’s start with the review! ImageImageThe packaging is just like the regular Color Tattoos – but in pigment form of course! My shade is number 55, in the color Barely Brazen. The packaging is small and easy to throw in your purse! I’m not usually a pigment fan because I purchased some ELF pigments and every time I used them, the pigment would go everywhere! It took so much time to carefully open and close them and to clean up after I had used it. But the Maybelline pigments are wonderful! They don’t spill or make a mess when I open them and they are very easy to use! I am really impressed. Here are some swatches below!ImageBarely Brazen is such a beautiful color! It reminds me of Stila’s eyeshadow Kitten. It is a light, shimmery almost champagne color that is great for highlighting. I would definitely use a primer though so the color would stay all day and become more vibrant. I’m so glad I picked this color! This is also great if you want a little bit of color on your lids! This is a very natural color that is perfect for a simple look.

I hope you liked this review and I’ll be reviewing more new Maybelline products soon! Thx!

Dance Recital Makeup & Hair

Here it is! This is what I will be wearing for my recital this Sunday. Tonight is my dress rehearsal and I figured I wouldn’t have any time on the actual recital day to blog, so here it is! I look really young in the first photo haha. Let me show you what special products I used for my hair and makeup!

ImageImageIn the first photo my hair is up in a low ponytail. I first straightened my hair so it would look pretty. I secured it with two elastics that were the color of my hair, then hairsprayed it so it would stay in place and to ensure that I wouldn’t have any flyaways.

The second photo is from Instagram, and it is before I put my hair up. You can see the makeup better and the lighting is different. For my lips I used a Maybelline Color Show lipstick called Ruby Star. It is a red color with some glitter and shimmer. For my eyes I used an NYX eyeshadow pencil in Milk as a base, then used neutral colors from the NYX Nude on Nude palette. I also used a retractable brown eyeliner from NYX. I used the L’Oreal Volumnious Million Lashes mascara for my eyes, and then tried to put on some false eyelashes but hopelessly failed. For my face, I used the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. I used a Maybelline blush (discontinued) and an ELF bronzer which isn’t really visable.

Also, if you noticed, I got my braces off! I’m super happy and it’s a great feeling. Dress rehearsal was so much fun and I’m so excited for recital!

The Perfect Urban Decay Naked Palette Dupe

Hey guys! Today I have a review of the NYX Nude on Nude palette. I’ve never seen people talk about this palette even though it is a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked palette. This is a neutral palette with twenty shadows and ten lip colors. I have some photos and swatches below, so let’s take a look!

ImageImageThis palette has some great colors, varying from highlighter shades to dark crease shades. Most of the eyeshadows are very pigmented and creamy, while just a few are regular shadows. I use the a lot of the eyeshadows everyday and this is my go-to palette! Here are some swatches.ImageYou can’t see the colors very well in this photo, but you can tell that the black color in the middle makes a statement. I really love these shadows and if you’re looking for a cheaper Urban Decay alternitive, this is the palette! But, the lip colors are a different story.

This palette also comes with ten lip shades, which I think wasn’t needed for this palette. I never use these because they don’t work well enough for me. The pigmentation is okay. If you apply one or two layers, you can barely see the color at all. If you layer them, they become pigmented enough to see, but they don’t last very long on your lips.ImageI layered the colors quite a bit so they look very colorful. The only color I think I would use is the red, which is on the bottom of the swatches. I don’t really care for the lip colors, it’s just a part of the palette that was lazily made.

To sum the review up, I would recommend this palette to everyone! It’s perfect for traveling and on the go. This is $25, and it’s available on the Ulta website. I also found this palette in stores at Ulta.

I hope you enjoyed this review! If you have any requests for reviews, please leave a comment below! Thanks!

My Everyday Makeup Organization

Hey guys! Today I’m going to share with you my everyday makeup organization. These are the products that I reach for everyday and I love this organization. I have more products in an IKEA storage unit, but maybe I’ll share that another time!

ImageThis is what my organization looks like. It’s a clear container that I received for Christmas, so I’m not sure where it’s from. But, I’m sure you can find similar things at the Container Store or Target. I’ll be showing you photos and detailed captions of the products. This is located on my desk where I do my makeup every morning and everything is handy and easy to reach.

ImageThe first four small containers contain random items. In the first I have some mini ELF nail polishes, one gold glitter and the other a fun orange. I think these are a great steal and really nice for travel because some polishes can get really bulky. I have some perfume samples in the next section next to the polishes. I’m sure everyone has tons of these because everytime you order from Ulta or Sephora or another beauty store they always send you tons of perfume samples! Above that I have some bath-related items, including body butters, sugar scrubs, shower gel, etc. Right beside that I have my Nivea lip butter (which I did a review on), a sample of an Aveeno lotion, and a Britney Spears perfume.

ImageRight above those items, I have some of my favorite lip products. On the bottom I have two NYX Lipsticks, above that two NYX Butter Glosses, and then I have four of my favorite lipsticks which include two Revlon lip butters, a Maybelline Color Whisper, and a Maybelline Color Sensational.

ImageI have two deeper compartments which I keep bigger products in. It’s not the best picture, but it was the best I could do! I have my favorite mascara (Maybelline Lash Stiletto), my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, brush cleaner, and a DKNY lotion. On the right of that I have my moisturizers. For the daytime, I have my Ambi essentials daily moisturizer with SPF 15. This has got to be my favorite moisturizer of all time, and it’s great for sensitive skin! For nighttime, I have my Vanicream moisturizing skin cream.

ImageNext to that, I have four very colorful lip balms! Baby Lips! I currently have four shades and I love them because they look so bright next to each other! I have Cherry Me, Pink Punch, Peach Kiss, and Melon Mania. I really want to find the rest of the limited edition shades! I’ve only seem them at Walmart, but I don’t usually go there so I’m looking around at CVS soon.

ImageNow I have my palettes! These are my most used palettes and I love them. I opened them up so you can see the colors and what they look like. On the top I have the Benefit She’s So JetSet palette. It comes with a mini Porefessional, four pigmented eyeshadows, a blush, lip gloss, and a mini of the They’re Real mascara which I took out because I use it often. Next I have the NYX Nude on Nude palette. This is a dupe for Urban Decay’s Naked palette and I use this everyday! I love the highlighting shades and the dark neutral colors are great if you want a bolder look. I also have a Stila Live from the Red Carpet palette, in Glamour Goddess, and it is a collectable red carpet palette. These colors are so pigmented! It also comes with Kitten, a very popular shade that Elle Fowler (allthatglitters21) mentions a lot. As I’m raving about it, I realize that I need to use it more often! Haha.

ImageNow I have some essentials and minis. First I have my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder (which unfortunately got blurred out), and below that I have two chapsticks are great, but I’m not sure where they are from. Then I have two mini mascara samples from Benefit which include BadGal Lash and They’re Real. These are my favorite mascaras and I’m going to be so sad when they run out. I don’t plan on purchasing $23 mascaras anytime soon, so I’ll probably just keep on purchasing the minis! (I’m such a cheapstake…) 😉

Also, if you noticed, I forgot to take a picture of the eyeliners, but if you go back to the picture of the entire organization, you can see that I have mostly brown colors. Most of my eyeliners are from NYX, some from Stila, and I have a couple ELF and L’Oreal. Sorry about that!

Thank you for reading and if you want me to do reviews on any of these products, just let me know in the comments below! Thanks!

The Best Waterproof Summer Makeup!

Summer is just around the corner, and you definitely do not want your makeup getting smeared or smudged all over your face. Here are my top five products for the summer that will last all day!

1) Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner

This eyeliner is the best. It’s very pigmented, it’s creamy, and it stays on all day! I wore this on my upper lash line and water line and had a dip in the pool, and it still stayed on! I was skeptical about the “waterproof” label, but it really did its job! I am so impressed with this! Even though it’s pricey, this is a must-have if you like wearing eyeliner in the summer.

2) Maybelline Color Tattoos

I’m sure everyone has heard about these. Of course, I had to put them on my list. The Maybelline Color Tattoos come in a variety of shades and last all day! I haven’t experienced any creasing or smudging with these, and they are even a bit tough to take off with makeup remover! This product is perfect if you are going to the beach or pool and want a little color on your eyes.

3) CoverGirl LashBlash Waterproof Volume Mascara

Yet again, this is another product that just about everyone knows about. If you want your mascara to stay put, this is the mascara you need.

4) Revlon Just Kissable Lipstain

I read about this lip product and it seems very promising to me! Even though I haven’t tried it yet, people have said that this lip color stays on after meals and lasts for hours. It also comes with a lip balm which will moisturize your lips. I have yet to find a lip color that comes with SPF!

5) Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

Ok, so this isn’t really a waterproof product, but I felt this belonged on this summer makeup list. I always put sunscreen on my face during the summer because the sun’s rays are very dangerous and who wants skin cancer?! One thing I hate about sunscreen though is that it leaves my face incredibly shiny which does not look nice. This is the only powder that I find covers it! It’s inexpensive and it definitely does its job.

Because I don’t wear BB cream or foundation, I’m sorry that I didn’t mention any products such as those. Also, I have yet to find a good waterproof concealer for the summer, so if you know of any good ones, please tell me! I hope you enjoyed reading and leave me requests in the comments below!
