Mini Haul! (Fashion & Dance wear)

Today I did a little shopping and got a couple of things that I’m really excited about! I won’t be naming the shops because they are local, but I’m sure you can find similar things near you!:) Let’s get started!

ImageImage

I first went inside a local boutique and saw that they carried some NYX shadows for only $4! Of course, I had to get one! I picked up a beautiful, light shimmery shade that is perfect for highlighting your browbone or inner corner. This eyeshdow is called Vanilla Sky and I recommend trying this out!

At the same boutique, they carried so many cute clothes and… I wanted them. ALL of them. I wanted the hi-low skirts, the sweaters with crosses on them, the tribal leggings, the crop tops, EVERYTHING. And it was all at an affordable price! But, I wasn’t ready to go on a shopping spree, so I picked up this flowly, floral top for only $8. It has adjustable straps and it’s super cute! I’m really excited to wear this because the weather in California right now is unbelievably hot.

Lastly, I needed a new leotard and some tights so I went to a local dance-wear shop. I got regular Bloch pink ballet tights, but the real star of the show is… this beautiful leotard with lace at the top! Oh em gee. When I first walked in, I knew that this leo was going to be the one. It is absolutely gorgeous! Of course, it looks way better in person and on myself, so next time I go to ballet maybe I’ll snap a picture and upload it!;)

Alright, so I tried taking a picture with an iPhone while I’m wearing it, but it didn’t turn out so great, but basically this is what it looks like when I’m wearing it! The lace goes down a little past my elbows, so it’s almost a long-sleeved leotard, but at the same time it is not. I’ll defintely try to take a high quality photo when I’m actually going to dance LOL. I think this leotard is absolutely gorgeous and I know I will be wearing it often!

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed!<3

Good luck in school everyone!

The Perfect Urban Decay Naked Palette Dupe

Hey guys! Today I have a review of the NYX Nude on Nude palette. I’ve never seen people talk about this palette even though it is a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked palette. This is a neutral palette with twenty shadows and ten lip colors. I have some photos and swatches below, so let’s take a look!

ImageImageThis palette has some great colors, varying from highlighter shades to dark crease shades. Most of the eyeshadows are very pigmented and creamy, while just a few are regular shadows. I use the a lot of the eyeshadows everyday and this is my go-to palette! Here are some swatches.ImageYou can’t see the colors very well in this photo, but you can tell that the black color in the middle makes a statement. I really love these shadows and if you’re looking for a cheaper Urban Decay alternitive, this is the palette! But, the lip colors are a different story.

This palette also comes with ten lip shades, which I think wasn’t needed for this palette. I never use these because they don’t work well enough for me. The pigmentation is okay. If you apply one or two layers, you can barely see the color at all. If you layer them, they become pigmented enough to see, but they don’t last very long on your lips.ImageI layered the colors quite a bit so they look very colorful. The only color I think I would use is the red, which is on the bottom of the swatches. I don’t really care for the lip colors, it’s just a part of the palette that was lazily made.

To sum the review up, I would recommend this palette to everyone! It’s perfect for traveling and on the go. This is $25, and it’s available on the Ulta website. I also found this palette in stores at Ulta.

I hope you enjoyed this review! If you have any requests for reviews, please leave a comment below! Thanks!

NYX Butter Gloss Review & Swatches

I love the NYX Butter Glosses. These glosses were a part of their 2013 Spring collection and I have to say, the colors are beautiful! I just had to review these! I have two out of the twelve glosses and I chose the more natural shades. I found these at Ulta for $4.99

The first shade I have is “Peaches & Cream.” It is an opaque, watermelon pink color. The formula is a little bit sticky, but in a good way. It has a sponge tip applicator and the packaging is small and good for travel. One thing I did not like about it is that if you have chapped lips, it does not look good so I recommend putting chapstick on your lips beforehand.

The second shade is called “Vanilla Cream Pie.” It is a more sheer, natural color that is useful for day-time looks. The formula is the same, and this is one of my favorite NYX glosses! This gloss works with just about any daytime look which is helpful when your in a rush!
The swatches are taken with flash and on top is “Peaches & Cream” and on the bottom is “Vanilla Cream Pie.”

I definitely recommend these glosses! They stay on for a good amount of time and the collection has a great variety of colors, varying from natural to bold shades.
