Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush Review

The Maybelline Bouncy Blushes in my opinion are quite a controversial product! Are they really bouncy? Does it work? In my review, I will share my opinion about these blushes and everything I like and dislike about them! I have the shade 15, in Rose Petal. Let’s get started!ImageImageImage

Packaging: The packaging of the bouncy blush is very light and great for throwing in your makeup bag when you’re in a rush! I have had no problems with the packaging so fa.

Price: $6.99, from Target. This is a pretty reasonable price for a blush, but I’ve seen cheaper.

Product: Maybelline claims that this is a “bouncy” blush, and for the most part, it actually is – well, the first time you touch it. After you start using this blush, it really isn’t that bouncy anymore, and it feels more like a cream blush. Rose Petal isn’t very pigmented. It is a sheer, natural shade. When I apply on my cheeks, it sometimes causes my face to get irritated and it becomes red (told you my face is extremely sensitive!). Because of that, I prefer powder blushes over cream blushes. Here are some swatches below!ImageImageTo sum up, I probably would not repurchase one of these again. It is too diffficult for me to apply and it doesn’t work for me. I wish Maybelline would make another bouncy blush but create a better formula!

Thank you for reading and leave requests below! Have a great day!

What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag!

Hey guys! Summer is here, and that means lots of traveling! Whether you’re flying to a different state or out of the country, everyone needs to pack their essentials. I’m flying to Michigan this Friday (yes, right after 4th of July), and I’ll be gone for two weeks. I’m hoping to post photos of the travel experience so this blog won’t be vacant for two weeks! Aside from that, I’m beginning to plan what I’ll be packing and what I’m going to bring on my trip. I’m bringing two makeup bags – one staying with me in my carry-on bag, and one staying in my suitcase. I’m not bringing a ton of makeup because I’ll be staying at my cousin’s house on the lake, and that means swimming, tubing, etc. and no time to worry about running mascara! Let’s take a look!ImageThe two makeup bags I am bringing are above. They hold a lot of products and they are perfect for travel! They are large enough to hold toothbrushes, makeup brushes – almost anything! I love them both and I use them quite often.ImageThis first bag is actually from Tokyo and it is my favorite! I received this as a gift and it is from Tokyo so I don’t know where you can get it. It has various girly designs on the front, and on the back it just has some black and white designs too. I added a small Snoopy and Woodstock charm with a red bell if you can see it because who doesn’t love the Peanuts!? All of my makeup that I am bringing is in this bag as well as some extra hair items. It is the perfect size and it isn’t bulging or overflowing with stuff! Let’s take a look inside.ImageThese are the face products in my makeup bag! Of course I needed to bring sunscreen, so I’m bringing the Yes to Cucumbers Natural Sunscreen Stick. It’s perfect for summer and it is water resistant which is great for the lake! The second item is the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in the lightest shade. I’m planning to wear this if I go out to dinner or something fun like that. The last item is the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder because I have to set the concealer and I want to cover up the shine from the sunscreen. ImageI am only bringing three lip products on my trip. The first product is a Benefit Lip Gloss in the shade Life on the A List. This is my favorite lip gloss of all time! It’s a beautiful pink color that works with any look it looks absolutely gorgeous on my lips. The next product is a Nivea lip butter in the shade Raspberry Rosé Kiss. It is super moisturizing and cures chapped lips overnight. I did a review on this and you can check it out here. The last lip product is the Maybelline Baby Lips tinted lip balm in the color Fruit Punch. I’m bringing this because it’s nice to have a lip balm with a hint of color that you can use any time!ImageThe last items I’m putting in this makeup bag are random things such as a compact mirror, comb, and a bag with hair ties and bobby pins. The pink bag can also be used for jewelry, but I thought it would be a good idea to put some hair accessories in it because bobby pins and hair ties always get lost!

Everything fits perfectly in that makeup bag! I’m really happy with it. This is the bag I will be bringing with me on my carry-on. It has all the essentials I need and I would rather have it with me than packed away in a stuffed suitcase. Unfortunately, I forgot to include my Maybelline mascara so that is why there isn’t any mentioned.ImageThis is the second makeup bag I am bringing. Unlike the last one, I am not bringing this with me but packing it in a suitcase. This bag is from Ulta. It came with one of their sample deals – where you buy a certain amount of items and get a bag full of samples. This bag is bigger than the other one, so I put larger items in it. Let’s see what’s in it!ImageI’m bringing my two makeup brushes from a Sonia Kashuk brush set. The first one is a foundation brush which I use to blend out the concealer, and the second is a powder brush which I use for powder. This powder brush is smaller than regular powder brushes, so it is good for setting the under-eye area and specific spots.ImageThe next items are hair care products! I used up all of the originial product to have an empty bottle and then when I travel, I fill up the containers with my regular shampoo and conditioner! It’s way easier than bringing the big bottles which take up a lot of space. ImageAgain, here are some random items in this makeup bag. I’m bringing my razor, nail clippers, and a sample of an Aveeno lotion. I love bringing samples on trips because I get the chance to actually use them instead of letting them sit and do nothing! ImageThe last items I am bringing in my Ulta makeup bag are my toothbrush and toothpaste! Again, I am bringing a travel sized toothpaste to save space.

I hope you find some inspiration from this post and before I leave I will post something about my trip so I won’t leave you wondering lol. I will try my best to post some pictures, but that depends if I can find a computer and wifi. There won’t be any beauty-related posts while I’m gone because I can’t bring all my makeup and I don’t think there will be any time. I will be going to Chicago and driving across the longest bridge in the US (or the world. Not sure), so I will post some photos even though this isn’t a travel blog. 😉

I hope you enjoyed!

Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigment Review

Hey guys! Today I have a really exciting post because I finally got my hands on one of the new Maybelline products – the Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments! I only got one shade, but I’m planning to get more so stay tuned! I bought mine for $5.99. Let’s start with the review! ImageImageThe packaging is just like the regular Color Tattoos – but in pigment form of course! My shade is number 55, in the color Barely Brazen. The packaging is small and easy to throw in your purse! I’m not usually a pigment fan because I purchased some ELF pigments and every time I used them, the pigment would go everywhere! It took so much time to carefully open and close them and to clean up after I had used it. But the Maybelline pigments are wonderful! They don’t spill or make a mess when I open them and they are very easy to use! I am really impressed. Here are some swatches below!ImageBarely Brazen is such a beautiful color! It reminds me of Stila’s eyeshadow Kitten. It is a light, shimmery almost champagne color that is great for highlighting. I would definitely use a primer though so the color would stay all day and become more vibrant. I’m so glad I picked this color! This is also great if you want a little bit of color on your lids! This is a very natural color that is perfect for a simple look.

I hope you liked this review and I’ll be reviewing more new Maybelline products soon! Thx!
