What to Expect at a Brandy Melville Sale

I’m back! Today I have an informative blog post about Brandy Melville sales. I went to a Brandy sale today and it was quite the experience. If they are having a sale soon in your area, you may want to consider reading this before making plans. I will post a separate haul tomorrow if you are interested! Let’s get started.

First. How do you find out about a Brandy Melville sale?

Check their Twitter and Facebook! Brandy will start tweeting about a sale usually a week before. Details follow on Facebook a few days later.

Second. Where is a Brandy sale?

This is a popular question. A lot of people automatically think that Brandy sales are actually inside a Brandy store… but that’s not true. They are usually held at colleges. If you’re planning to go, create some directions to the location before hand so you don’t get confused or lost.

Third. How early should I arrive?

Early. Arrive as early as you can. If the sale starts at 10, get there at around 3 or 4 am. You will probably be at the front of the line! Alright, now here’s a little story about what happened at the sale today. Brandy Melville specifically said on Twitter AND Facebook that if you line up before 6 am, you will be escorted off the college. So instead of coming at 4 am, my friend and I came at 5:45 and was surprised by a huge line (over 200 people). We were the fifth group to go inside and we waited for about eight hours. They tell not to line up before 6 and when we come at 6 there’s already a million people in line?! NOT OKAY! If you’re going to a Brandy sale and they tweet something similar like that – don’t worry about it. Come as early as you want to because you won’t be “escorted” off the property. If you’re not an early bird, that’s kind of a problem. If you come too late (like 7 or 8), you’ll be near the back of the line and you may not even get to buy anything because everything might be sold out.

Four. What should I bring?

I brought several different things to the sale. I brought a little synch bag and in the big pocket I packed a blanket and a towel to sit on. If you go early in the morning, it will be cold so it’s a good idea to bring a blanket. It is also a good idea to bring a towel to sit on because you definitely won’t be standing the whole time and it’s better than sitting on cement or grass. In the front pocket I packed my wallet, headphones, snacks, iPad, phone, and gum. I should have brought a water bottle too now that I think about it! Headphones are also a must because you’ll be waiting in line for hours and it’ll kill time. Make sure to keep your things safe so nothing gets stolen!

Five. Any extra tips?

There’s a lot of extra tips! If you’re thinking about cutting  in line, think again! Employees hand out colored wristbands an hour before the sale begins to ensure that no one cuts the line. So if you’re saving a spot for a friend in line, make sure they get that wristband! Next, when shopping, the merchandise is all inside big boxes. Get ready to dig! You never know what kind of treasures you’ll find at the bottom of those boxes. But, look carefully before you buy anything. Most of the clothes were misprinted, have huge holes, are fading, or the zipper was broken. I found this amazing top but as I looked more carefully, there was a huge hole in the side. Do they really think we are going to buy clothes with HUGE holes in them? No. We are not. Another way to find good merchandise is looking in people’s “no” piles. Employees give you trash bags and you stuff everything you find in the bags, and later you find a spot and sort the clothes. If you don’t want it, make a no pile. You can find all sorts of things inside no piles, so look carefully! By the end of the sale, clothes are all over the floor and there are empty boxes everywhere. Talking about damaged merchandise again, almost everything was had a hole or was stained. You can find this perfectly good crop top but then it has a big blue stain in the back. It’s really unfair and stupid that Brandy brings a ton of damaged merchandise to the sale.

Six.

Now let’s talk about pricing. Bracelets, graphic tops and shirts were $5. Dresses and skirts were $10, and flannels, sweaters, and pants were $15. Almost everything at the sale was graphic tops. There was no sweaters and very few skirts. There was a good amount of flannels but the sizing was hugeThey carried a lot of purple floral dresses and some black dresses. I was really disappointed when I didn’t see any sweaters! 😦 Also, in one big box there was just bralettes which looked like they could fit an 8-year-old. Whaaaa??? I noticed that people who were first in line got really good stuff – so arrive as early as possible!

Seven.

Pictures? Of course I had to take pictures! Take a look at the craziness below.

Waiting in line at 5:30 am. A ton of people were already at the college!

A few hours later, we were closer the the front of the line! The line kept getting bigger and bigger. There was so many people!

Clothes were on the floor everywhere. It was crazy.

This was taken around the end of the sale where a lot of the good merchandise was already bought. You can see some empty boxes too.

This last photo was taken at the end of the sale when I left. As you can see, it’s cray.

If you want to see more photos of the sale, head over to Instagram and look under the hashtag brandysale. 🙂

To conclude, the sale wasn’t worth it, but then again it was.  I bought four things, at full price would’ve cost over $90, but I paid only $25. I’ll be uploading a haul tomorrow so stay tuned!
If you have any questions about the Brandy Melville sale, feel free to ask in the comments below! And if you’ve ever been to one of these sales, tell me your experience!:) Brandy sales may be different for everyone, but this is what I experienced at the sale I went to.

Mini Shopping Haul!

Yesterday my close friend and I went to a popular mall and shopped… for six and a half hours. Yes, that long! I was so tired when I came home at 10 PM and immediatly fell asleep, so that’s why I’m uploading today! Even though we shopped a little too long, I only got a few things because I was a bit limited on money haha. I had so much fun so let’s get started with the mini haul!

ImageImage

I only got two things while inside Forever 21, but I’m happy and excited about my purchases! I first saw the cutest bow ring and had to get it. It’s a silver bow and I think it’s adorable! This ring was only $1.80.

Image

Next I bought a pink bow necklace. I actually have matching earrings but they are a different color! I think this is the cutest necklace (ever) and I had to get it. They also had other colors such as black and mint. I think I’ll be getting more of these necklaces because they are only $1.80!

ImageImage

When my friend and I arrived at the mall, we immediatly went inside Brandy Melville and shopped in there for almost two hours! It was fun trying on $60 sweaters that we both couldn’t afford or their overpriced Heather skirts. Speaking of overpriced… Is it just me or is Brandy getting super expensive?! Everything in that store isn’t the best quality, yet they still slap a big price tag on it. I still love Brandy Melville, but I just wish everything wasn’t so expensive in that store!

I bought one thing in Brandy and it is a grey-ish, light brown shorts that are so soft and really cute! These were about $13. I think these could look great in a Brandy crop top or a knit sweater for the fall! And yes, I’m wearing a shirt in the second picture.

Image

Lastly, we went inside Charlotte Russe to take a look at their $10 graphic tee sale. I decided to get this tank top and I totally forgot what the design is called. Peace? Nirvana sign? I’m having a brain fart and I apologize. THis is orginially $14, but thanks to the sale I grabbed it for only $10!

Thank you for reading my mini haul and if you have any requests for blog posts or reviews, let me know in the comments below! Byee!

Mini Haul! (Fashion & Dance wear)

Today I did a little shopping and got a couple of things that I’m really excited about! I won’t be naming the shops because they are local, but I’m sure you can find similar things near you!:) Let’s get started!

ImageImage

I first went inside a local boutique and saw that they carried some NYX shadows for only $4! Of course, I had to get one! I picked up a beautiful, light shimmery shade that is perfect for highlighting your browbone or inner corner. This eyeshdow is called Vanilla Sky and I recommend trying this out!

Image

At the same boutique, they carried so many cute clothes and… I wanted them. ALL of them. I wanted the hi-low skirts, the sweaters with crosses on them, the tribal leggings, the crop tops, EVERYTHING. And it was all at an affordable price! But, I wasn’t ready to go on a shopping spree, so I picked up this flowly, floral top for only $8. It has adjustable straps and it’s super cute! I’m really excited to wear this because the weather in California right now is unbelievably hot.

ImageImage

Lastly, I needed a new leotard and some tights so I went to a local dance-wear shop. I got regular Bloch pink ballet tights, but the real star of the show is… this beautiful leotard with lace at the top! Oh em gee. When I first walked in, I knew that this leo was going to be the one. It is absolutely gorgeous! Of course, it looks way better in person and on myself, so next time I go to ballet maybe I’ll snap a picture and upload it!;)

Image

Alright, so I tried taking a picture with an iPhone while I’m wearing it, but it didn’t turn out so great, but basically this is what it looks like when I’m wearing it! The lace goes down a little past my elbows, so it’s almost a long-sleeved leotard, but at the same time it is not. I’ll defintely try to take a high quality photo when I’m actually going to dance LOL. I think this leotard is absolutely gorgeous and I know I will be wearing it often!

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed!<3

Good luck in school everyone!

Haul! (Nordstrom Rack, Target, Tilly’s, etc)

Hi guys! Yesterday and today I did a little bit of shopping so I thought I would upload a haul! I have different items from various stores – Target, Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, and Tilly’s. Let’s get started!:)

ImageImage

First I went inside Nordstrom Rack. I got this cream colored cardigan for $12 and it’s perfect for fall! I’ve always needed a cardigan and I feel like it can go with just about anything – a dress, jeans and top, etc. Nordstrom Rack also carries NYX and other high end makeup brands! They sell Stila, Smashbox, and Urban Decay goodies for half off. I was dying to grab them all!

Image

Next I went inside Marhsallas and picked up a coconut shower cream by The Body Shop. This item was on clearance for only $5.50! This smells SOOO good and I can’t wait to use it! Image

Yesterday I went to Target and Walmart and bought some fun goodies! I first picked up some Conair bobby pins because I was running out and I loose bobby pins…very quickly. LOL. Next I picked up the brand new issue of InStyle – which contains 716 pages! If I may add, the first 60 pages were just ads… so in my opinion, creating a huge issue just meant throwing a ton more ads in the magazine for a little cash. At Walmart, I bought a red lipstick by Wet ‘N Wild. I am so impressed! It was only $2 and it is so pigmented and beautiful. I’m not what the name of this lipstick is because the writing on the sticker was smeared, but I’m sure you can find it at CVS or Walmart. Oh, and I wish Target would carry Wet ‘N Wild! I have a swatch below if you want to check it out!Image

The last thing I got at Walmart was an Alba Hawaiian Conditioner. The shampoo and conditioner are so great and are my favorite hair care products from them. Walmart sells Alba for a really great price, so if you ever get a chance, I definitely recommend it! Image

Lastly, I stopped by Tilly’s and got this super cute flowy shirt! I’m not sure what the pattern is, but it looks great and it has a small criss-crossed back.Image

The picture is a bit blurry, but I’m sure you get the point!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this haul! Leave me requests for reviews or nail art tutorials or anything you wish! 🙂

Back to School Target Haul

I’m finally blogging again! Auditions are over and now I have plenty of time for reviews, swatches, you name it!

School is (sadly) coming up again, so I decided to take a trip to Target and grab some school supplies before everything was sold out. I got a bunch of stuff for the new school year and of course some beauty items (I just can’t help myself!)

I have also made the decision to start purchasing cruelty-free cosmetics. You can read all about that if you just click on the page marked cruelty-free beauty above! 🙂

Last, I would like to add that I already had some supplies, so I didn’t need to purchase them again, so that’s why there are some essential things missing (i.e. erasers, lead,  a backpack, etc.)

ImageThe first thing I got were pencils! You need pencils when you’re in school, and sometimes regular pencils get difficult to sharpen and become dull often, so I prefer mechanical! I don’t need to sharpen them and I find them much easier to use. I picked up a 26-pack that was about $3, but I had a coupon so I got them for $2! I love using coupons because you can get great deals – and save money!

Next I picked up some white-out tapes. I find that these always get ruined somehow.

I also got some notecards for Spanish along with a holder for them so they don’t get ruined. I always like to get extra because people always “borrow” mine and I use these notecards up very quickly!ImageI bought some paper and…four binders! That may seem a bit much, but my school gives us lots of homework and papers. These binders will be stuffed quickly! The bottom black binder is just for language, the pink binder is for history and Bible, the small white binder is for Spanish, and the bigger binder is for science and math. Whew!ImageNow onto the exciting part! At my Target, a ton of Milani products were on clearance. It looked like they were trying to get rid of the brand and putting something new in it’s place because all the products were gone and only a handful were on the bottom with a big red price tag. I hope Target will still sell Milani! It’s such a great brand and it’s hard to find good drugstore makeup brands that don’t test on animals. But, I took advantage, and picked up two products for a lower price. I first got a Glitzy Eyez eyeliner in a beautiful glittery, purple color. I have two other Glitzy Eyez eyeliners and I love them! I definitely am going to do a review on them soon. Next I picked up a nice, light bronzy lip gloss. It smells really good and looks natural on the lips. The next item isn’t really a beauty product, but every girl needs it!

I hoped you like this haul and I am excited to be blogging again! Shark Week is starting up – and apparently it has some competetion! Nat Geo is coming out with Shark Fest, airing the same week as Shark Week. I have to admit it, the commercial is pretty amusing! I feel like Shark Week airs old episodes and nothing new, so it’ll be interesting to see what Nat Geo will come up with.

Leave requests below and thanks for reading!

Bath & Body Works Haul

Hey guys! I recently went to Bath & Body Works and got lots of new products because they are currently having their big semi-annual sale! My location was fully stocked and it was great getting good products for so much less! Unfortunately, I lost the receipt so I couldn’t figure out what some of the prices were with the sale. I even looked online, but they are not carrying half of the products and some of them aren’t even on sale! Aside from that, let’s take a look!

ImageI first got the Lemon Mint Leaf candles, which smell amazing! These are originally $9.50 each, but with the sale one is only about $6.00. The fragrance reminds me of the Lush soap called Sexy Peel. The description says it is an organic cultivation of bright lemon balm and farm fresh green spearmint. This candle is perfect for summer and I’m sure everyone will like it! ImageI also picked up a variety of body products. The first lotion is Fresh Picked Body Lotion in the scent First Bloom. This smells fresh and very flowery. This lotion is less fragnenced than some of the others, considering some have a very strong smell. This is originally $8. The next item I got was a Fresh Picked Hand Cream in the scent Strawberries. This smells exactly like strawberries! It captures the fresh, fruity scent and is very moisturizing. If you love strawberries, this is the hand cream for you! They also have other strawberry scented lotions if you to prefer those. This is originally $5. The last lotion I got was a Coconut Signature Vanilla Body Lotion. This is one of my favorite body lotions at Bath & Body Works! It’s a simple yet yummy scent! Coconut is one of my favorite scents and this lotion really captures it! I recommend this to everyone and you should definitely try it out! This was originally $11, but with the sale it was only $4! ImageThe last item I got was a Bronze Shimmer Fizz Body Mousse. This caught my eye when a sales lady sampled it on my hand, and I immediatly had to get it! When you spray it on your hand, it bubbles up and once you rub it in it feels like pop rocks and it fizzles! It leaves a nice, scented bronze shimmer that I love. This product is so fun to try out and use and I’ve never seen a product like this before! I will be using this a lot this summer! This product is originally $14, but with their sale, I got it for only $3.50! What a deal!

Definitely go to your nearest Bath & Body Works and check out the semi-annual sale because you won’t regret it! I hope you liked this post, and if you have any requests, leave a comment below! Thanks!

Drugstore.com Haul

Hey guys! Today I have a drugstore.com haul. If you aren’t familiar with this website, it’s basically a drugstore online! They always have free shipping over $25 and great deals. This website is also combined with beauty.com, which sells high end brands. Let’s get into the haul!

ImageThis is the favorite thing I ordered! These are the Real Technique Brushes by Samantha Chapman. These are so popular and such great quality for inexpensive brushes! I got the blush brush (pink) and shading brush (purple). The blush brush was $8.99 and the shading brush was $5.99. But that’s not all! I got one of the brushes 50% off! Not only did I get great brushes, I got a great deal too! I got the shading brush for only $3! I am very satisfied and you should definitely try these out. I’ve seen them at Ulta and I’m sure you can purchase them at other places as well.

ImageThe next item I got was a Yes To Cucumbers Natural Sunscreen Stick. I needed some good sunscreen for sensitive skin because the sun is shining more than ever! I really love this line and I enjoyed their makeup remover sheets, so why not try this? It is SPF 30 with water resistance for up to 40 minutes. Also, it kind of smells like cucumbers! When you apply it on your face, it is a white color but after you blend it out it is sheer and you can cover up the shine with powder. This was $8.99.ImageThe last item I got is the Vanicream Suncreen Sport Sunscreen with SPF 35. There are a lot of sunscreens out there, and some are very bad for your skin. Good sunscreen often leaves white residue on your skin and is hard to find, but this isn’t! It’s free of harmful ingredients and really good for you. Vanicream also has a Moisturizing Skin  Cream, which I use everynight before I go to bed. This sunscreen also has water resistance for up to 80 minutes. This is about $10.

I hope you like this haul, and if you have any requests leave a comment below! Remember to follow for a giveaway and thank you for all of your support!

Target Haul

Hey guys! Today I have a mini Target haul. I was looking for some organization for my room, but they had absolutely nothing! Usually Target has some good organization items, but this time I found nothing! Maybe I’ll have to look online. But aside from that, I have a haul to show you so let’s begin!

Ardell Natural Lashes Starter Kit

I picked up these lashes because I have a dance recital this weekend and I needed a pair. I never put on false lashes and these are my first time actually owning some,so I’m going to try them on later today. Hopefully I won’t fail haha. This comes with LashGrip adhesive, black eyelashes, and an applicator. This was about $6.

Image

Remington Hair Elastics

There is really isn’t a story of why I had to purchase this, I just needed some hair ties just like any other girl! It comes with thirty five hair ties and in four different colors which include white, cream, gold, and dark brown. This was $2.50

Image

Sea Animal To-Go Box

I didn’t know what to call this, but it has sea animals and it’s for the go! I snatched the last two and these are so cute! I got a blue container with turtles and an orange one with some pink squids. You’re probably thinking, what is this girl talking about? Well, let me show you a picture and then your opinion may change haha.ImageImageI thought these were so cute! They come with food dividers too and even though these may be a little young for me, I love them. I’ll be using these a lot when I’m traveling to store some yummy snacks! 🙂 These were $4.99. I could only find the set available online, but maybe you can grab them in stores. The link for the set is here if you are interested: http://www.target.com/p/evergreen-summer-to-go-containers-large-small/-/A-14370314#prodSlot=large_1_1&term=To+go+box+

Thank you for reading and I hoped you like my small haul. This week I’ll be blogging about my recital and what I’ll be wearing on stage. If you have any requests, please leave a comment below! Thanks!
